Fellow blogger San, over at the Alive and Trekking blog, is running a challenge at the moment – “The Which Way photo challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, signs, etc. we move from one place to another”.
In my last post A Walk on the Mild Side I included an old bridleway sign and I initially planned to use that for the challenge. For those outside the UK, a bridleway (or bridlepath) is a route over which the public has a right of way on horseback, leading a horse, on foot, or since 1968 on bicycle.
But when I thought about it I remembered I had a photo of a much more exciting sign from my wanderings and it is a pretty unique sign for this country.
I may have used it in a previous post, but I can’t find where.
Whatever the case, here it is.
